Whangārei 94-year-old on board with the car-free movement
Being car free hasn’t meant losing independence for a Whangārei grandmother. After an injury left 94-year-old Marion Ross unable drive, she turned to Citylink buses to keep up with her active lifestyle. “I enjoy getting out,” Marion says. “I like walking the Loop, fine days, and being amongst people where you can have a conversation.” Marion found Citylink an easy and convenient way to get around.

The future is electric with Rewiring Aotearoa
Mike Casey does things differently. As an enthusiastic cherry farmer in Central Otago, he runs the world’s first fully electric cherry orchard. Running 21 electric machines with renewable electricity from the grid, solar and batteries means he saves tens of thousands on his energy bills each year and has no need for damaging fossil fuels on the farm.
