Communities are coming together to promote sustainable practices and advocate more action and better outcomes. Community gardens, local clean-up events, and educational workshops are just a few ways to get involved.

Climate resilient communities fund

Funded by Northland Regional Council, the Climate Resilient Communities Fund supports projects that help Northland’s most affected communities withstand our changing climate.

Restoring Nature

Restoring nature has many benefits, including flood mitigation or drought protection, habitat creation as well as absorbing carbon from the atmosphere and helping to reduce climate change

Community Response Plannning

When a natural disaster hits, there may be little or no warning. All communities may need to take care of themselves for up to three days before help can arrive. A Community Response Plan (CRP) is a proactive way to help to ensure there are measures in place for the community to look after itself. Read more "Community Response Plannning"
